People build, upload and share worlds and schematics on The Buildyard, and we take other people's rights seriously. This page explains how to tell us about something that breaks your rights or the law, and what we do about it.

Reporting content

If you believe something on our server or website infringes your copyright or another right, or is illegal, send us a notice via the contact details on cardycraft.com with:

  1. Your name and how to reach you.
  2. Exactly what the content is and where it is: the world name, coordinates, the schematic name, the page address or a screenshot.
  3. Why you believe it infringes your rights or is illegal (for copyright: what the original work is and that you own it or act for the owner).
  4. A statement that you are acting in good faith and that the information in your notice is accurate.

Please only report what is really wrong: knowingly false notices can have legal consequences for the sender.

What we do

  • We look at every notice promptly. If it looks justified we remove or disable the content and tell the person who uploaded it, with the reason (a "statement of reasons"), unless the law says we must not.
  • The uploader can answer with a counter-notice (explaining why they believe the content is theirs or allowed) or ask us to reconsider. We then review it again fairly.
  • People who repeatedly infringe rights can lose their rank or their access.

Your own builds

You keep the rights to what you build (see the Terms of Service). If somebody copies your work without permission, report it as above and include proof of yours (for example an earlier upload date or your portfolio).

Other illegal content

You can use the same address to report other illegal content, such as anything that sexualises minors, threats or scams. We act on those reports as quickly as we can and pass serious matters to the authorities.
